Apple's latest M2 chip has undergone various benchmark testS against the competition 

Apple's M2 iGPU features 10 cores, L2 cache and access LPDDR5 memory.

Apple M2 chipset is not specifically is not designed for gaming and despite the lack of optimisation and the latest Mac OS.

The M2 was put up against AMD Ryzen 7 6800U featuring the RDNA 2 GPU in a gaming test using Shadow of Tomb Raider 


The M2 outperformed the Ryzen 7 6800U by up to 10% on the highest setting.

The M2 averaged 28 frames per second (fps) at 1200p while AMD's Ryzen 7 maxed out at 25fps. 

Apple CEO Tim Cook has said that the new M2 represented a new era of gaming for MacBooks.
