Cyrus Mistry, a high-profile Irish businessman, and the former chairman of TATA group passed away in a road accident.

Cyrus Mistry was born in 1968 in a Parsi family to the billionaire Patriarch Pallonji Mistry.

Cyrus Mistry entered the family business in 1991 and three years later, he was appointed as Managing Director of Shapoorji Pallonji Group.

The Shapoorji Pallonji Group's business grew from $20 million to $1.5billion under the leadership of Cyrus Mistry.

Cyrus Mistry joined the TATA SONs board in 2006. Then he became the deputy chairman of the TATA Group in 2011. He served as the Chairman of all major businesses of TATA.

Cyrus Mistry also served as Non-executive Director of Forbes Gokak Ltd. apart from handling his responsibilities at the SP group.

Cyrus was the younger son of Pallonji Mistry, he died in a road accident in Maharashtra's Palghar district on 4, September 2022
