Importance Of Dhanteras 2023

Dhanteras, also known as Dhanatrayodashi, this day people buy new items, and clean and decorate their houses to begin the first day of Diwali with lots of lights and happiness.

Dhanteras is the first day of the Diwali festival. This day is an auspicious day to buy new things and to worship the Goddess Lakshmi.

People celebrate this festival particularly Dhanteras Day by decorating their houses with lights, flowers, and rangoli.

During Puja time, place an idol of Lord Ganesha, Goddess Laxmi, and Lord Kuber to begin the Puja by lightning a Diya of desi ghee.
