Messenger:
End-To-End Encryption

End-to-End encryption is a secure communication system that uses cryptographic keys only available for the sender and receivers of a message

Meta has previously rolled out end-to-end encryption support for messenger calls and chats

Messenger users can store their chats with end-to-end encryption in Meta's secure storage and access the backup data through a PIN or generating by a code

Meta has started testing secure storage on the messenger app for Android and iOS

The company has also started testing default end-to-end encryption for messenger chats for a small group of users

The messenger may soon get an end-to-end encryption feature for its users to maintain their privacy.

Meta will also test an option to unsent messages and Facebook story replies
